Quaker border meeting 2015

Our next Border Meeting is approaching: September 18-20 in Sittard in the Netherlands (approx. 50 km nw from Aachen). Our objective is to come together for worship across European borders. This year Kees Nieuwerth is our key speaker. He was representative for FWCC-EMES at the 10th Assembly of the World Council of Churches in Busan, South Korea in 2013. The Assembly initiated a Pilgrimage of Justice and Peace. A year earlier Kees was at the Quaker World Conference in Kabarak, Kenia. That conference sent out a “Call for Peace and Ecojustice”. Wouldn’t it be great to combine these two initiatives, answer this call from Kabarak and start walking the walk together? How do we express our concern for peace, justice and environment worldwide? Please come and bring in your personal concerns, thoughts, opinions and ideas.

The border meeting will take place on 18th - 20th September 2015 at the Bezinningshuis Regina Carmeli in Sittard, The Netherlands.

There are still beds available so come and join us. The registration is open and prices are 90 € per adult for the whole weekend.
